The work UNTITLED (DBZ2) by Kaws was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Evening Sale Part II auction at Phillips in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 1,875,000.00 (€ 1,718,921.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kaws - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1), which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).

Die Arbeit UNTITLED (DBZ2) von Kaws wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Evening Sale Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.875.000,00 (€ 1.718.921,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Kaws mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49) versteigert wurde.
