Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Alexandra, the Boys, City Lights by Salman Toor. The price achieved of GBP 126,300.00 (€ 146,724.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Salman Toor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 4 Guests in November last year with an auction result of USD 856,800.00 (€ 829,991.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alexandra, the Boys, City Lights von Salman Toor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 126.300,00 (€ 146.724,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salman Toor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 4 Guests im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 856.800,00 (€ 829.991,28).
