"Drawing and painting as a process is focus of my artistic work. Some of the works could also be understood as painted drawings. The subject becomes secondary to the process. It's about finding forms and compositions.
In most works, lines, shapes, black, white and shades of grey refer to each other in some way but make little connection to everyday scenes and events.
The visual elements of my works emerge entirely from themselves, almost without any references to nature, theories or to my ego that might be expressed in them. The importance of every single work is the process of drawing and painting and the main subject is the spirit of exploration, the intensity of the creative process itself."
