In December 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale: Worlds In A Hand, which included the work Charles Darwin at the Age of 75 by Adrian Ghenie. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 57,850,000.00 (€ 6,552,721.33), 21% above the upper estimate. Other works by Adrian Ghenie have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 81,060,000.00 (€ 9,623,561.64) in May last year for the work Pie Fight Interior 12.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale: Worlds In A Hand durch, in der auch die Arbeit Charles Darwin at the Age of 75 von Adrian Ghenie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 57.850.000,00 (€ 6.552.721,33) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Adrian Ghenie haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.060.000,00 (€ 9.623.561,64) im Mai letzten Jahres für die Arbeit Pie Fight Interior 12 beobachtet.
