Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Amoako Boafo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May last year. In the 21st Century Evening Sale auction, the work Blue Pullover sold for USD 625,000 (€ 512,547) - well above the upper estimate of USD 300,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amoako Boafo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange Shirt in March this year with an auction result of CNY 8,760,000 (€ 7,656,004).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Amoako Boafo erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Blue Pullover für USD 625.000 (€ 512.547) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 300.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amoako Boafo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orange Shirt im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 8.760.000 (€ 7.656.004).
