The work Thelma In Colored Blazer by Amoako Boafo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 478,800 (€ 392,652), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amoako Boafo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange Shirt in March this year with an auction result of CNY 8,760,000 (€ 7,656,004).

Die Arbeit Thelma In Colored Blazer von Amoako Boafo kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 478.800 (€ 392.652) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amoako Boafo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orange Shirt im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 8.760.000 (€ 7.656.004).
