The work White Hat White Shades by Amoako Boafo was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 5,257,000.00 (€ 584,768.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Amoako Boafo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hands Up in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 26,650,000.00 (€ 3,018,669.38).

Die Arbeit White Hat White Shades von Amoako Boafo wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 5.257.000,00 (€ 584.768,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amoako Boafo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hands Up im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 26.650.000,00 (€ 3.018.669,38).
