Upper estimate price exceeded by 50%
The work White Hat White Shades by Amoako Boafo was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October last year. It achieved a price of HKD 5,257,000 (€ 584,768), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amoako Boafo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange Shirt in March this year with an auction result of CNY 8,760,000 (€ 7,656,004).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50% übertroffen
Die Arbeit White Hat White Shades von Amoako Boafo kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 5.257.000 (€ 584.768) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amoako Boafo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orange Shirt im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 8.760.000 (€ 7.656.004).
