Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Chain Hoist by Andrew Wyeth was sold in the American Art Online auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. The result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 226,675.13) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day Dream in November last year with an auction result of USD 23,290,000.00 (€ 22,561,270.95).
