Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Despair by Anne Collier was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,623.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anne Collier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Crying (Comic) #16 in March last year with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 119,509.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Despair von Anne Collier wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.623,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Collier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Crying (Comic) #16 im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 119.509,74).
