Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ayako Rokkaku achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work without title sold for HKD 8,115,000.00 (€ 987,535.58) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ayako Rokkaku - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Little Girl with Animals, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 2,695,956.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ayako Rokkaku erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 8.115.000,00 (€ 987.535,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 3.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ayako Rokkaku mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Little Girl with Animals beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 2.695.956,52) versteigert wurde.
