This artwork by Banksy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April last year. In the Banksy auction, the work Festival (LA Edition) sold for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 39,065.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Banksy erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Banksy wurde die Arbeit Festival (LA Edition) für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 39.065,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
