Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grannies (LA Edition) by Banksy was sold in the Banksy auction at Sothebys in London in April last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 33,055.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grannies (LA Edition) von Banksy wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Banksy bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 33.055,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
