Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Kids on Guns by Banksy for HKD 7,147,000.00 (€ 856,464.20). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in association with Yongle at Phillips in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 8,500,000.00 – 12,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Kids on Guns von Banksy für HKD 7.147.000,00 (€ 856.464,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in association with Yongle bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.500.000,00 – 12.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
