Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carl Frederik Aagaard could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art auction, the work Landscape with a Stream changed hands for USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,636.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Frederik Aagaard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mossy Rocks in a Stream, which sold at auction in October 2005 for USD 18,000.00 (€ 15,006.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Frederik Aagaard konnte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape with a Stream für USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.636,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Frederik Aagaard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mossy Rocks in a Stream beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für USD 18.000,00 (€ 15.006,25) versteigert wurde.
