In December 2021 Christies in Paris held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Physichromie 550 by Carlos Cruz-Diez. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 87,500.00 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlos Cruz-Diez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Physichromie Panam in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 879,000.00 (€ 776,296.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Physichromie 550 von Carlos Cruz-Diez zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 87.500,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Cruz-Diez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Physichromie Panam im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 879.000,00 (€ 776.296,03).
