Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Transchromie Dames A Permutation 2 by Carlos Cruz-Diez was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 275,312.50 (€ 243,920.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Cruz-Diez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Physichromie Panam, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 879,000.00 (€ 776,296.03).

Die Arbeit Transchromie Dames A Permutation 2 von Carlos Cruz-Diez wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 275.312,50 (€ 243.920,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Cruz-Diez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Physichromie Panam beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 879.000,00 (€ 776.296,03) versteigert wurde.
