Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untited (1/26/09) by Carroll Dunham was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,770.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carroll Dunham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Integrated Painting Seven in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 591,000.00 (€ 496,722.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untited (1/26/09) von Carroll Dunham kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.770,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carroll Dunham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Integrated Painting Seven im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 591.000,00 (€ 496.722,14).
