Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Passion + Transmission: International Contemporary Art from the CAP Collection, which included the work Dirt Dancing by Charline von Heyl. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,457.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charline von Heyl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dumka in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43).
