Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Cheyney Thompson. The price achieved of USD 175,000.00 (€ 156,964.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Other works by Cheyney Thompson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work Chronochrome II was auctioned for USD 317,000.00 (€ 288,339.09).

Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Cheyney Thompson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 156.964,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Cheyney Thompson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2015 die Arbeit Chronochrome II für USD 317.000,00 (€ 288.339,09) versteigert.
