Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Mastaba (Project For Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) by Christo was auctioned at Christies in June 2021. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 137,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) in February 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,706,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Mastaba (Project For Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) von Christo kam im Juni 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 137.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.706.500,00.
