It achieved a price of EUR 201,600.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68 %. Admittedly, works by Christo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) in February 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,706,500.00.

Die Arbeit The Pont Neuf, Wrapped (Project for Paris) von Christo kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 201.600,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Umbrellas (Joint project for Japan and USA) im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.706.500,00.
