Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled, 2002 by Cindy Sherman was sold in the (Women) Artists auction at Sothebys in London in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 36,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 40,320.00 (€ 47,803.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cindy Sherman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #93 in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,861,000.00 (€ 2,830,645.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 2002 von Cindy Sherman wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion (Women) Artists bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 36.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 40.320,00 (€ 47.803,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cindy Sherman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #93 im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.861.000,00 (€ 2.830.645,16).
