The work Andromeda, from Veils (H4-2) by Damien Hirst was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in January this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,451.80), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
