Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Damien Hirst achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April last year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Beverly Hills (H5-2) sold for USD 16,380.00 (€ 15,545.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
