Auction result well in line with expectations
The work For the Love of God: Laugh by Damien Hirst was sold in the Faces Places: Online Auction auction at Phillips in an online auction in April last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,902.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 65,000.00 – 85,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit For the Love of God: Laugh von Damien Hirst wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Faces Places: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.902,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 65.000,00 – 85.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
