Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January this year Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work The Virtues (H. 9) by Damien Hirst. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 88,200.00 (€ 100,108.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
