Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Handle With Care, which included the work True Love by Dan Colen. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,197.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Colen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boo Fuck'n Hoo in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,255,865.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2019 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Handle With Care durch, in der auch die Arbeit True Love von Dan Colen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.197,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dan Colen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boo Fuck'n Hoo im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.255.865,10).
