In January 2021 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Guggenheim Tondo by Dan Flavin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,849.77), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Flavin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alternate Diagonals Of March 2, 1964 (To Don Judd) in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,255,865.10).
