This artwork by Dana Schutz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for USD 106,250.00 (€ 90,241.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dana Schutz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elevator in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 50,050,000.00 (€ 5,279,190.52).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dana Schutz erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 106.250,00 (€ 90.241,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dana Schutz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elevator im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.050.000,00 (€ 5.279.190,52).
