Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Hockney's Alphabet (26 works) by David Hockney. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,940.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
