Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Hockney's Alphabet by David Hockney. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,679.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
