In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, which included the work Fucking Ace by David Shrigley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,693.58), 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Shrigley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (It's OK) in March last year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,754.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fucking Ace von David Shrigley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.693,58) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Shrigley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (It's OK) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.754,80).
