Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, which included the work I Cannot Live Without You by David Shrigley. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,648.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Shrigley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (It's OK) in March last year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,754.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair durch, in der auch die Arbeit I Cannot Live Without You von David Shrigley zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.648,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Shrigley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (It's OK) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.754,80).
