Auction result well in line with expectations
The work You Are Special, from 'You Are Special Series' by David Shrigley was sold in the Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,477.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Shrigley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (It's OK) in March last year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,754.80).

Die Arbeit You Are Special, from 'You Are Special Series' von David Shrigley wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples OnlineDavid Shrigley & Co at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.477,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Shrigley erzielen.
