In September last year Christies in Paris held the auction Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers, which included the work Head #11 by Derrick Adams. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,120.00 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derrick Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure In The Urban Landscape 31 in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 212,892.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Un regard sur le monde : Collection Comte & Comtesse Jean-Jacques de Flers durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head #11 von Derrick Adams zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.120,00 und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derrick Adams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure In The Urban Landscape 31 im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 212.892,79).
