Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Scene Through a Window by Ed Ruscha was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 5,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 6,048,000.00 (€ 731,247.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Scene Through a Window von Ed Ruscha kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 5.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 6.048.000,00 (€ 731.247,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Ruscha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurting the Word Radio #2 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.485.000,00 (€ 47.631.364,01).
