Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lost Luggage by Eddie Martinez was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 264,600.00 (€ 238,528.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 220,000.00 – 280,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eddie Martinez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work High Flying Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 15,725,000.00 (€ 1,823,808.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lost Luggage von Eddie Martinez wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 264.600,00 (€ 238.528,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 220.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eddie Martinez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit High Flying Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.725.000,00 (€ 1.823.808,88).
