Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Eddie Martinez was worth USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,608.23) to a buyer in July 2021. This price was achieved in the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eddie Martinez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work High Flying Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 15,725,000.00 (€ 1,823,808.88).
