Sold at the lower estimate price
The work French Soldiers by Edward Hopper was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,225.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Hopper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chop Suey in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 91,875,000.00 (€ 81,140,157.20).
