Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nsukka Shrine, 1979 by El Anatsui was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in November 2021. The price achieved of EUR 25,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by El Anatsui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prophet in May this year with an auction result of USD 2,228,000.00 (€ 2,091,233.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nsukka Shrine, 1979 von El Anatsui kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von El Anatsui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prophet im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.228.000,00 (€ 2.091.233,34).
