Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bald Head Cliff, York, Maine by Emil Carlsen was sold in the American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,982.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Carlsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Pottery Jars in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 278,491.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bald Head Cliff, York, Maine von Emil Carlsen wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
