This work without title by Etel Adnan was worth GBP 252,000.00 (€ 298,774.36) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Etel Adnan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
