Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Boating On The Pond by Ferdinand Reichardt for USD 14,340.00 (€ 11,548.68). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ferdinand Reichardt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Falls, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 59,375.00 (€ 42,657.52).
