Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francesco Clemente could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Semen changed hands for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,202.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Clemente achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fourteen Stations, No. XI in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,733,296.06).
