This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of the late Lord and Lady Swaythling at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Picabia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pavonia in March last year with an auction result of EUR 9,996,700.00.
