Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Royal Friends by Genieve Figgis was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 139,500.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Genieve Figgis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Debutants Ball in March last year with an auction result of CNY 4,032,000.00 (€ 573,196.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Royal Friends von Genieve Figgis wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 139.500,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Genieve Figgis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Debutants Ball im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 4.032.000,00 (€ 573.196,07).
