Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gerhard Richter achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April last year. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Haggadah (P2) sold for GBP 45,360.00 (€ 54,090.20) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstraktes Bild in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,389,000.00 (€ 41,901,917.57).
