Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Haggadah (P2) by Gerhard Richter was auctioned at Sothebys in Cologne in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 30,240.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 24,000.00 – 34,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstraktes Bild in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,389,000.00 (€ 41,901,917.57).
