In June last year Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Haggadah (P2) by Gerhard Richter. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,347.71), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstraktes Bild in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,389,000.00 (€ 41,901,917.57).
