Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Natura morta by Giorgio Morandi was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,483.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Morandi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Natura morta in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,332,500.00 (€ 3,712,510.71).
